Severing a 180-ton footbridge over the A21

After several night shifts preparing with lifting holes and horizontal wire-saw cuts, our main phase of the project began: severing a 180-ton footbridge over the A21 into agreed sections for lifting and recycling.

All works were completed ahead of programme and remarkably, in a single shift. A fantastic project to be involved in!

We pride ourselves on our health and safety and strive forward with new methods and machinery that is safer for our operators, other workers, the public, and the environment. We are working with Hilti specialist equipment with the low HAV impact and reduced dust/slurry control systems.
